Advanced Healthcare Technology Ltd to showcase BabyPod system at MEDICA 2025
Advanced Healthcare Technology Ltd. will be showcasing its designed and developed Baby Pod infant transport system at MEDICA 2025 in Dusseldorf, Germany, on the UK Pavilion in Hall 16 hosted by Medilink UK.
The Baby Pod system challenges the status quo of infant transport by offering a lightweight, high-performance solution designed specifically for the smallest and most vulnerable patients. Developed by Advanced Healthcare Technology Ltd (AHT) in the UK, Baby Pod utilises advanced materials and engineering to enhance safety, portability and cost-effectiveness in neonatal and paediatric transfers.
Key highlights include:
- Lightweight and manoeuvrable design: The larger BabyPod 2 & 20 shells weigh less than 10 kg and is constructed from carbon-composite materials, enabling mounting to standard stretchers in ambulances or aircraft.
- Crash-tested to high safety standards: The devices are compliant to a 10g crash load per the European ambulance standard CEN 1789 – a level of testing uncommon in infant transport systems.
- Thermal support: Thermal support can be maintained in various forms including the revolutionary BP37, that can provide thermal support for up to 6 hours.
- Cost-effectiveness and accessibility: The Baby Pod solution is offered at a fraction of the cost of typical transport incubators, allowing greater access for hospitals, transport services and low-resource settings.
Compatibility and integration: With a transparent lid for patient observation, mounting provisions for ventilation/monitoring equipment, and the ability to be used in various transport modes (road, air), the system supports flexible infant transfers.
In short: Baby Pod represents a shift in how we think about infant transport – merging aviation and motorsport material science with clinical needs, to deliver safety, mobility and cost-efficiency.
Emma Kocsi-Martin, Exhibition and Events Manager, from Medilink said: “We are delighted Advanced Healthcare Technology Ltd. have joined us this year on the UK Pavilion, which remains one of the largest and well-respected national pavilions at the show (additionally this year we will be leading the first official NHS and NHS Scotland delegation to the show). We wish them all the best and look forward to helping with driving footfall to their stand, together with bespoke high-quality support to them and all our exhibitors with our experience and knowledge built up over 20 years.”
