The healthcare technology for providers sector, which offers software and data analytics to hospitals and clinics, reported a collective revenue beat for the third quarter of 2025. According to a report from Yahoo Finance, the four tracked stocks exceeded analyst consensus estimates by 6.2% as a group, though their forward revenue guidance was 0.7% below expectations.
Mixed Performance Amid Sector Challenges
The sector faces tailwinds from digital transformation priorities and government incentives, but also contends with long sales cycles, provider resistance to change, tightening hospital budgets, and cybersecurity threats. On average, share prices for these stocks have fallen 4.9% since their latest earnings results.
Astrana Health Reports Revenue Growth but Misses Estimates
Astrana Health (NASDAQ:ASTH), formerly Apollo Medical Holdings, reported the fastest revenue growth but the weakest performance against analyst estimates. Its revenues of $956 million represented a 99.7% year-over-year increase and a 0.6% beat versus expectations. However, the company missed analysts’ EPS estimates and its full-year revenue guidance.
“Astrana delivered solid third quarter results and demonstrated strong momentum in our first quarter of combined operations with Prospect Health,” said Brandon Sim, President and Chief Executive Officer. The stock is down 6.4% since reporting and trades at $22.35.
Privia Health Named Top Q3 Performer
Privia Health (NASDAQ:PRVA) was identified as the best performer for the quarter. The company operates a technology-driven platform for physicians across 13 states and the District of Columbia, with over 4,300 providers serving more than 4.8 million patients.
